It is crucial to the water quality of Lees Pond.
It has historical significance as the original site of Moultonboro.
The Moultonborough Conservation Commission has paid for an appraisal of the value of the property and a title search.
A motion was made and passed with two abstentions that the Lees Pond Association contribute $5000 toward a $15,000 deposit to hold the land for two years.
A motion was made and passed with two abstentions that a committee develop a campaign to raise additional monies toward the deposit to hold the land for two years. This committee will be chaired by Peggy Hoburg. Additional information will follow soon.
